The club was founded in 1969 and caters for people of all ages who enjoy hillwalking, climbing and winter mountaineering.
We run monthly bus outings from September to June, usually on the first Sunday of the month. Regular destinations include Glen Coe, Arran, Cairngorms, Glen Nevis and the Lake District. Regular weekend meetings are also held at club huts, bunkhouses and hostels.
Our indoor meetings are held fortnightly at the Murray Owen Centre and we enjoy a varied programme of social activites, guest speakers and often humorous talks by club members.

Annual events include a Christmas Social, Burns Supper, ceilidh and hotel weekend. Please browse our site and click here to contact the club secretary if you require further information.
EKMC is affiliated to The Mountaineering Council of Scotland.
